John Blake, PA-C

John V. Blake is a nationally certified Physician Assistant with 28 years of experience and more than 40 years in the medical field. Raised in rural Mason County, West Virginia on a dairy farm, he developed a strong work ethic and a deep respect for rural communities that continues to shape his approach to patient care today.
John began his medical career serving in the United States Navy as a Hospital Corpsman, where he worked in the medical field for six years. He later continued his service in the United States Army as a Combat Medic, completing five additional years before his military career ended due to injuries sustained while deployed in Iraq. Following his military service, he earned his degree in General Medicine from the College of West Virginia and went on to build a broad clinical background across emergency medicine, hospitalist care, and family medicine.
His approach to medicine is grounded in listening first. He believes patients know their own bodies better than anyone else, and he prioritizes understanding their concerns to guide effective, individualized care.
John lives in Webster County and works in Farmington during the week. He previously served on the MVA Team from December 2021 to July 2024 and has returned to the team as of May 2026. He is committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care and is willing to see patients of all ages.
