This week, we're introducing Andy, FNP-C! With more than 12 years of clinical experience in cardiology, emergency medicine, orthopedics, general surgery, wound care, long-term care, substance use disorder, and mental health, Andy is passionate about providing patient-centered care and helping patients live healthier lives.
💙 What made you decide to pursue a career in healthcare?
"In my early 20s, I lived with a family whose father had end-stage Parkinson's disease. He required around-the-clock care, and through that experience, I discovered that caring for others is one of my greatest passions in life."
🩺 What's your favorite part of your day as a provider?
"My favorite part of being a provider is seeing a diagnosis come to fruition and watching patients experience symptom relief—especially when their concerns may have been overlooked or not fully addressed in the past."
💡 What's one thing you wish every patient knew before coming to their appointment?
"The basics really do matter. Eating a healthy diet, exercising regularly, staying hydrated, and getting enough sleep are all essential to maintaining a good quality of life."
🎉 What's your favorite way to relax outside of work?
"I enjoy hiking, spending time in the river, building a new LEGO set, and practicing on my drum set."
