
Melissa Marko, BSN, RN, BS, CPhT
Melissa Marko brings a diverse healthcare background that spans both indirect and direct patient care roles over the past six years. Her experience includes serving as an Inpatient Pharmacy Technician, Cath Lab Clinical Associate, and Anesthesia Technician, giving her a well-rounded understanding of patient care across multiple clinical settings. During this time, Melissa continued advancing her education at Fairmont State University School of Nursing, where she earned her Associate Degree in Nursing, became a registered nurse, and later completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. In addition to her nursing credentials, she also holds bachelor’s degrees in business management and finance, allowing her to bring a unique combination of clinical expertise, analytical thinking, and leadership to her work.
As Medicare Annual Wellness Coordinator, Melissa combines clinical knowledge with population health initiatives by educating patients, identifying care gaps, coordinating preventive screenings, and improving access to early detection services. She is passionate about empowering patients through education and helping individuals take an active role in their health and wellness.
Melissa’s experience working with veterans, elderly patients, and diverse patient populations has strengthened her commitment to compassionate care, patient advocacy, and preserving dignity for vulnerable individuals. She remains dedicated to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care while supporting initiatives that improve patient safety, preventive health, and overall community wellness.
Outside of work, Melissa enjoys hiking, traveling, spending time with family, and learning about her grandparents’ Slovak language and culture.
